Buffalo meat and beef actually have very similar flavors. However, there are slight differences. For one, the flavor of buffalo meat is lighter and sweeter. Another difference is that buffalo meat feels lighter, that is, after eating it, you won’t feel the greasy sensation that you often get from eating beef.
In terms of health benefits, buffalo meat has the edge over beef. It has much less fat from beef – anywhere from 70% to 90% less. More than that, buffalo meat has much less cholesterol – up to 50% less. It is no surprise that buffalo meat is gaining more popularity.
