Don’t fret – paint may seem to be a permanent stain, but it can actually be easily removed if you have the right solvent. The best solvent for latex paint is ammonia, which is not that hard to come by. What you need to do is soak the fabric in the ammonia so that the latex paint will dissolve. If the latex paint is already dry, you can scrub it off as it soaks – this will hasten the removal of the stain. Just make sure that you do this in a well ventilated area as the ammonia fumes are not going to do you any good.
