Cheap facial masks you can make at home

November 13, 2011 by Katerina 2 Comments

You can spend a fortune on beauty treatments and skincare products. But there are some wonderfully cheap facial masks that can give your skin an instant boost—and the ingredients are right in your pantry! Why not try these recipes for cheap facials tonight. You probably have these items sitting in your kitchen right now, and you’ll feel pampered and pretty for a fraction of the price of a trip to the spa.

Anti-aging avocado and honey facial mask

Mix together 2 tablespoons of avocado, 2 tablespoons of honey, and an egg yolk. You can mash it manually or give it a quick roll in the blender. Apply all over the face and neck and wash off half an hour later. Your skin will feel softer! Regular use of this treatment can prevent wrinkles and crow’s feet.

Moisturizing honey and egg mask

Combine 1 tablespoon of honey, 1 egg yolk, half a tablespoon of almond oil, and a tablespoon of yoghurt. It’s a bit gooey and thick but it smell heavenly. Great for dry skin. The yogurt tightens pores, too!

Anti-oiliness honey and papaya mask

Mix together 1/3 cup of cocoa, 3 teaspoons of heavy cream , 1/3 third cup of ripe papaya, ¼ cup of honey and 3 teaspoons of oatmeal. This will help draw out any impurities in the skin and rebalance the PH level of your skin. Great if you wear heavy makeup everyday. This will clarify and rejuvenate tired and dull skin and can help treat acne.

Soothing banana and honey mask

Combine half a mashed banana, ¼ cup oatmeal that’s been cooked in milk, an egg and half a tablespoon of honey. This gentle mask is gret for sensitive skin since it heals skin while exfoliating dull skin cells. Bananas are rich in Vitamin E and eggs are high in lecithin which are a natural emolient.

My fiancé, who normally hates using products on his face, absolutely loves Invisible Silk. If he runs out of this product he refuses to substitute any other. I am also a large fan of the Invisible Silk and I must also note the Woodlands Cream as another of my favourites!
