If you wash your hair every day, you might be washing your hair more often than you need to.
Many experts and dermatologists believe that hair that is long, thick, and curly can go unwashed longer than short, think and straight hair. The reason for this is that oils from the scalp take longer to travel down the hair shaft so the hair remains dry which in turn, would require less frequent washes.
The bubbles that people associate with cleanliness are actually created by including harsh ingredients in the shampoo. These do not necessarily clean the scalp or the hair – these often times have a dehydrating effect. The only reason foaming agents are added to shampoo is because people expect bubbles.
Daily washing is necessary of the hair is very oily. If you want to shampoo daily, try to use a lightweight shampoo because these contain milder detergents than other kinds of shampoo.
At the end of the day, however, the frequency by which you should wash your hair will really depend on your personal preference.
