Commercially available deodorants stop sweat, but they interrupt your body’s natural way of releasing toxins through sweat. They may also contain aluminum, which some studies have linked with cancer.
An alternative is to control the odors caused by perspiration with natural oils. Here are some tips on making your own natural talcs and deodorants. They are completely healthy and are quite effective in controlling body odor. These talcs and perfumes can also be made in bulk, and then packaged to give as gifts!
Smell sweet the whole day!
Just combine two drops each of lemon grass oil and lavender oil to about 10 milligrams of glicerine. You can massafe these under the arms and on wrists. You can also add patchouli oil, used by many Middle Easterners to control the smell of sweat in their very hot desert climates.
Sexy body talc
This is a lot cheaper than the expensive talc powders you find in high-end beauty stores. Just mix about 225 grams of starch or flour with 5 drops of sandalwood oil, 5 drops o patchouli oil, 2 drops of myrrh oil and 2 drops of frankincense. This is a very secy and seductive fragrance that absorbs body moisture and keeps you feeling fresh.
Spring cologne
Mix together 1o drops of lavender oil, 5 drops of cinnamon oil and 50 milligrams of witch hazel. Allow this to stand for about 2 weeks and shake occasionally. Place in an atomizer and use as required.
Another alternative is to combine half a cup of lavender flowers, half a cup of rose petals and steep in vodka or pure alcohol for about 3 weeks. Strain the mixture and then use as your own homemade cologne.
