In the recent years, white meat has become all the rave, while red meat has gotten so much bad publicity. The truth is that yes, in some respects, white meat is indeed better than red meat. The primary reason is that red meat has a lot of saturated fats.
On the other hand, you should not discount the benefits of eating dark meat as well. In spite of the saturated fat issue, red meat has more nutrients than white meat. Some of these include zinc, riboflavin, niacin, thiamin, vitamin B6, and vitamin B12.
As with many things, moderation is the key.
