Lose weight with herbal teas

Losing weight or maintaining the ideal weight is everyone’s obsession. There are a lot of things that people do just to lose that extra poundage. While dieting and exercise are the most effective ways of losing weight. There are also other things you can do to help the process. One of these is drinking herbal teas.

There are many kinds of herbal teas that you can drink to help you lose weight.

One of the most used herbal tea recipes for losing weight is green tea. Just boil a cup and a half of water and put a teabag of green tea. Allow it to simmer in the hot water for three minutes and it’s ready to drink. You can add some honey or lemon to the tea if you want. There are a lot of green tea variants that you can choose from, there’s Japanese green tea, Chinese green tea, herbal tea, just to name a few. One great thing about green tea is that it actually has other health benefits. Studies show that drinking green tea can be good for the heart and it can even make the heart’s arteries more pliant, which reduces the risk of heart attacks.

Hibiscus is a kind of flower and a tea made from its blossoms is a great tea for losing weight. Hibiscus tea is actually rich in vitamin C and it does not contain any caffeine. An added benefit that you get from drinking hibiscus tea is that it can help lower cholesterol levels and even your blood pressure. To make hibiscus tea, get three to four hibiscus blossoms and allow it to steep for about five minutes in 16 ounces of freshly boiled water. Allow the concoction to cool down until it is warm and it’s ready to drink. You can also chill it in the refrigerator and drink it as a refreshing beverage during hot days or after a workout. To get the most out of hibiscus tea, drink three cups every day.

Oolong tea, is a tea that originated in China. The tea is quite pleasant in taste, with a slightly fruity aroma and taste. Oolong cannot only help you lose weight it can also it can also improve your digestion and metabolism.

To prepare oolong tea, take four teaspoons of tea. Boil three cups of water and pour it into a teapot where you have put the tea leaves. Allow it to steep for three minutes. You can steep it longer if you want to have a stronger tasting tea. Pour some tea on to a cup and enjoy.
