Toilet paper rolls … whatever do we do with them once all the toilet paper’s gone? For most people, the only thing left to do once the last ply of toilet paper’s been used is to throw the roll in the trash. Adios! Sayonara! Buh-bye! What else can you do with these, apart from using these as pretend binoculars? Well apparently, heaps more. Here are 7 crafty projects you can do with empty toilet paper rolls, glue gun, some paint and a lot of imagination.

1. Toilet Roll Wreath

Just fold the toilet roll into a petal-like shape and glue them all together! You can create as many designs and patterns as you wish – and you don’t have to limit yourself to christmas wreaths either. Be adventurous and create a wreath for every holiday imaginable.

2. Toilet Roll Seedling Planters

Need a small container for trick-or-treat giveaways, or maybe lollies for kids, or maybe you  just need a small container for a keychain you want to give to a friend for a gift? Well – why not just use an empty toilet roll? Just fold the ends to create a pillow shape, decorate with nice paper and perhaps tie it with a ribbon and you’ve got a pretty treat box (and you didn’t even have to spend too much for it too!)

5. Toilet Roll Cable Holder

You must now be thinking “now why didn’t I think of that?”. Pretty paint on toilet paper roll is optional.

6. Toilet Roll Bird Feeder

To create this bird feeder, all you need are peanut butter, loose birdseeds, and a ribbon if you want to hang it from a tree. Birds to follow.

7. Toilet Roll Octopus

And now … one for the kids. A toilet paper octopus! And they can easily create other monsters or animals using toilet paper rolls. If they need to cut the toilet paper – remember to be on hand to help them.

Have fun creating!
