Get more sleep
You’ll be amazed how wonderful you feel after a proper night’s sleep. Turn off the laptop, stop pinning on Pinterest, and get your zzz’s. If you can’t get the proper amount of sleep during the week, then take a weekend nap, and don’t feel guilty.
They eat right
Vitamin deficiencies can affect hormones, which manifest in bad moods. Eat properly: if you eat 5 colors a day of fruits and vegetables, chances are you are getting most of the vitamins and minerals you need to feel good!
Hug a lot
People who are held, hugged and kissed develop a healthier physical and emotional life than those who are left for long periods of time without physical contact. So hug your partner, your child, your pet—consider it doctor’s orders!
You would think that people who spend their whole day giving so much to their jobs and their families are all tapped out. But many express the joy they feel when giving to another person who needs it. Volunteer at a shelter, give a compliment to a friend, or donate to a favorite cause!
Use your hands
Learn to crochet or make your own jewelry. Take a cooking class, and serve your creations to friends and family. Preserve your memories through scrapbooking. Creating something with your own hands not only gives you a sense of pride and accomplishment; the process soothes the soul.
